SNOW TO GLACIER

When winter comes, many places get a fresh fall of snow every year. In lowland areas, often, the snow melts as the seasons warm up again. In higher areas, there’s sometimes it stays a little colder year around and this seasons snow fall gets added to the last. As these layers build up, the snow below gets squeezed into a more solid form, ice. Every year, some snow melts, and some snow is added. This buildup of snow and ice creates the glaciers that we see today. In this experiment we’ll see how those tiny snowflakes create these massive glaciers.
