Meaning “adventurous” in Welsh, Anturus is about enthusing children and adults alike in science through expeditions.

Our goal is to show the amazing natural world, and the wonder of science and technology through media and live talks. We have some amazing people on our team that live and learn through adventure!

Anturus Founder
Huw's scientific background is in Astronomy and Geology. He's been a Science Communicator for over 10 years performing live science shows on 6 continents worldwide to over 300,000 people. Huw is a qualified mountain leader, a climber and endurance athlete as well as a professional photographer and film maker.

Naomi is a Presenter and Teacher. She has spent time teaching in a number of schools on the Geography GCSE and A-Level.

I’m a ‘science communicator’ which mostly means that I write and present on science in a variety of ways. I work as a science presenter on a number of online projects and a writer on just about anything going. I also spend a lot of time speaking about science and space exploration and am an honorary outreach lecturer at Imperial College London.
Lizzie Daly
Presenter and Wildlife Expert
Lizzie has presented for The Lets Go Club on Cbeebies and currently presents for BBC Earth Unplugged. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Behaviour she has gone on to study a research Masters in electroreception of arthropods in Bristol. Lizzie hopes to continue her research in reducing human to elephant conflict and investigating infrasonic communication in African elephants.
Ryan Atkinson
Camera Sorcerer
I work across both Blue Chip and Sync programming, with a varied amount of experience both on long lens, and working with A List presenters. I have extensive experience across almost all genres of broadcast camerawork and I specialise in mountain and cold climates where I am at home on skis and ropes, and other remote or hazardous environments requiring awkward or technical access and movement.
Sophie Pavelle
Zoology and Science Communicator
Sophie is a friendly, enthusiastic and adventurous individual, who enjoys working in a team to contribute to an enjoyable and stimulating working environment – always keen to learn as much as possible and build up science communication experience. Currently planning for 'Sophie's Wild Cornwall' - a 300 mile Cornish Science Comm adventure!
Tay Aziz
I am currently studying towards an MSc in Science Communication at the University of the West of England and have become increasingly interested in film-making and videography. As well as my studies, I work as a Live Science Team Member at We The Curious, bringing the centre's exhibitions and galleries to life by enhancing visitor interaction and delivering their wide range of programmes.
